New M.O.S. advert

Here's the latest magazine ad that I have created for M.O.S. it's only a small ad in the magazine but may also end up as the new artwork for the van so it's very exciting.

Personal Handmade Card

This is a card I made for my Sister's Birthday! I saw this lovely saying and it couldn't be more true in describing how I feel about my Sister and our relationship. It may be simple but nothing else needs to be said so I got creative and made my first handmade photo card. I'm very lucky to have a great Sister and a brilliant Family! Love you all xx

Rejuvenated Bed Frame

So you may remember a few post ago I spoke about having a go at furniture painting and that I had brought a double bed frame for our spare room which was going to be my test piece.
Well here's a photo of how it looks now and I think you'll agree it looks completely transformed from the tatty antique pine it was before.

I absolutely love it, I'm so pleased with how it turned out and I've since brought a few more piece's to paint and sell so if your interested in my future piece's watch this space!!!

House & Furniture

So we've been in our house for a while now and it's finally getting a personality.

Here are some snaps of our beachy bathroom, with some photo frames I white washed and distressed to add texture. The panoramic shot is of my dog Alfie and is featured in Halcrow's 2011 Corporate Calendar.
There are now a few splashes of colour around the house to break up the vast amount of Magnolia walls. The brown wall has the added feature of some beautiful vinyl wall stickers that I found online and I am so pleased with the crisp line outcome. Next after not liking the previous two colours I created my own shade of green and its perfect with our lovely second hand limed oak sideboard. Finally there is a bold splash of purple. It's only a small wall so it's not to out there but I intend to keep adding to the hand painted black photo frames with my black & white prints as I love my photo memories being on display.

After all these small creative projects and a few months research I have decided that I really want to take the next step and start painting and redesigning old furniture. My first project is going to be this tatty bed frame. It's a lovely solid frame but has seen a fair amount of use and now needs some TLC. Hopefully all will go well and this will lead to a new career redesigning and rejuvenating furniture to sell on. That's the plan anyway so watch this space and wish me luck!

Logo Design - Angel Cottage Creations

Last night I attended 'Sparks Christmas' - a fair of handmade and homemade goodies from very talented people. It was held at a beautiful house in Rustington, (West Sussex) which made a fantastic venue and enhance the lovely creations on offer. One of those clever people is a good friend of mine and this was her first public sale before her Esty shop opens in December - Angel Cottage Creations. The logo is designed by me and I must say it looked fab on her stand last night amongst all her products. Here's some photo's of her stand for you and I'll post a link to her shop as soon as it opens.

My Christmas Cushions

Once again I have been inspired by the new series of 'Kirstie's Homemade Home' and decided that this year I wanted some fab Christmas cushions on the sofa. So here they are!
The snowman fabric was a fat quarter of patchwork fabric by Basicgrey. I backed the smaller cushions in some 'less expensive' linen to make the most of the snowmen. The larger cushion are made using some lovely heavy weight double sided red gingham. I'm really pleased with the outcome and can't wait to put the dec's up so I can get them out but I can't before December, it doesn't seem right some how. Hope you like them.

The New Addition!

This is a personal post but I feel a very important one!
Back in the beginning of July we collected a new addition to our family.
His name is Alfie and he is the new love of our lives even when he chewed my shoes when he was younger. I am biased in my opinion when I say he is the cutest Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever I have ever seen and he's all our's. Here is a photo of him the day we got him home and a more recent one now 6 months old. He's growing into a very handsome chap if I do say so myself.

A year after we got the keys for our new house I've finally got a brilliant office area.
